You work so hard to get in contest shape that you deserve more than an iphone shot to capture all your hard work. If your intention is to start a modeling career or appear in magazines then you need professional images to submit to clients. When it comes to capturing fit bodies there is no one as qualified as J.M. Manion. He has photographed the whose who in the fitness industry for almost 30 years; not to mention he is the NPC official photographer. I have been a professional photographer in the fitness industry since 1985! My work has been published in every issue of NPC News and FLEX Magazine since September 1985 and in every issue of NPC News since 1986. There is not another photographer in the sport who can claim these credentials. I have recently begun working with Muscle & Fitness Hers in 2012.
Due to numerous requests, I am making this information for NPC and IFBB Bikini, Figure, Fitness, Men’s & Women’s Physique competitor photo shoots available at my photo studio and the NPC Photo Gym in Pittsburgh, PA.
The price for a day shoot is $1,800.00
There is a $250.00, non-refundable deposit due 2 weeks prior to the photo shoot.
This price includes Hair and Make-up.
The photo shoot session generally lasts approximately 6-8 hours with hair and make-up taking about 90 minutes of that time.
What to bring to the photo shoot?
For Women: The more you bring to shoot in the better. What I normally shoot are bikinis, lingerie and anything funky, sexy or cool that you really feel will make a great photo. Be sure to bring at least 1 set of ‘Fitness Wear’, i.e., sports bra, shorts, tennis shoes, etc. The goal is to try and get about 5 to 6 different looks. If the photos meet magazine approval, they may also appear in the NPC News’ “Bikini Beach Bodies” or “NPC Fitness Corner” sections or have a feature on NPCNewsOnline.com. To even be considered for this, you must shoot in thong and/or scrunchie-back bikinis.
For Men: The more you bring to shoot in the better. Bring workout and fitness wear, board shorts, jeans, jackets or anything you are particularly looking for, even a more mainstream modeling look, and a variety of shoes. The goal is to try and get about 5 to 6 different looks. If the photos meet magazine approval, they may also appear in the NPC News or have a feature on NPCNewsOnline.com.
You will receive all images on a CD/DVD with Personal Usage Rights to print and to publish online for self promotion only. The amount of images vary but we will typically shoot between 250-300 images during the session. You will also receive two (2) complimentary, high-resolution retouched images of your choosing.
You must arrive the night before the photo shoot as we will start make-up and hair at 10 a.m.
There are 2 hotels to book your room and each is a 1/2 mile from the photo studio and about a mile from 2 different grocery stores and LA Fitness.

You need to book your flight home preferably after 5 or 6 p.m. the day of the shoot. Remember you will need to leave for the airport approximately 1-1/2 to 2 hours prior to your flight departure time.
Photo Shoots can be booked at either my photo studio or the NPC Photo Gym. This must be specified when booking your appointment. If you are looking for both studio and NPC Photo Gym photos, they must be booked on separate days.
I also schedule 1 hour or 2 hour sessions at my photo studio and the NPC Photo Gym along with photo shoots on location at some NPC and IFBB competitions throughout the year. The location photo shoots will be listed both on the Announcements page here and through social media such as Facebook and Twitter. These photo shoots Do Not include a make-up artist/hair stylist.
The price for a 1 hour shoot is $300.00.
The price for a 2 hour shoot is $450.00.
There is a $50.00, non-refundable deposit due 2 weeks prior to the photo shoot for either session. This non-refundable deposit can be paid directly through PayPal on the home page.
